As a part of a £2.3 million investment Solihull Council has financed a complete refurbishment of Solihull Library, which now forms part of The Core, a flagship community building in the heart of the town centre.

This project was completed over six phases whilst the remaining areas of the library and the theatre remained open to the public.  It included significant structural alterations and the introduction of a new feature staircase to the atrium.

Pinnacle Flooring undertook extensive floor preparation to restore the existing sub-floors back to a suitable surface to receive the new floor finishes.

We installed a bespoke carpet tile from Forbo called Westbond Flex Nylon, together with Forbo Tessera Teviot carpet tiles.  To wet areas we installed various Forbo safety vinyl sheet and then a predominance of a Nora rubber sheet called Sentica.  To the main entrance we installed primary and secondary entrance matting of Milliken Obex Forma and Atrium.
